Michelle Yeoh will not appear in ‘Avatar 3 Fire and Ash’ Movie
“Avatar” filmmaker James Cameron has revealed that Michelle Yeoh’s scientist character Dr. Karina Mogue will not appear in the third Avatar movie, titled “Avatar: Fire and Ash.”
“Michelle Yeoh will not be in Avatar 3. She will be in the fourth and fifth films,” Cameron advised Entertainment Weekly.
According to Variety on Tuesday (8/13) native time, producer Jon Landau in 2021 posted a photograph of Yeoh on the set of the third “Avatar” movie.
Meanwhile, Cameron is filming “Fire and Ash” and a part of “Avatar 4” concurrently “Avatar: The Way of Water” which is launched in 2022.
Cameron stated that Yeoh will come again quickly to play her function in the “Avatar” movie, which is an attention-grabbing and enjoyable character.
“We’re getting ahead of ourselves now. This has been planned for years. The scripts were written years ago by the end of the fifth movie,” he stated.
“For the fourth Avatar movie, we’ve been working on some of the pieces, especially because we have a young cast. And we had to shoot them all at a young age,” he stated.
Cameron, together with “Avatar” stars Zoe Saldaña and Sam Worthington, revealed the official title for the third “Avatar” movie on the D23 Expo on Aug. 9 and confirmed off some idea artwork from the movie.
“In this movie, you’re going to see more of Pandora than you’ve ever seen before. It’s a crazy, eye-opening adventure, but it also has very high emotional stakes, more than ever before,” Cameron stated.
The third Avatar movie in the collection, ‘Fire and Ash’, is scheduled to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, whereas the movie ‘Avatar 4’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 21, 2029, and the movie ‘Avatar 5’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 19, 2031.
